Why am I interested in being on the HLCC Board?  I am grateful to the connection this community provided since they began.  I hope to be a positive contributing member.  I have a lot to learn how this club operates and am here to be of service.  I have been on a board for a girls basketball club and worked at a high school for nine years as an assistant to the athletic director.  Following rules and regulations were a regular part of my day.

My Grandparents, Earl & Betty Wylie bought property on Haller Lake in 1942.  They cleared the land and built a home where they raised 3 boys.  My Dad, Tom, and his brothers Jerry & Dick grew up with lots of friends here.  Some of their friends have grandchildren that now live here.  I am lucky to be one of those grandkids living on the lake.  I grew up spending my summers here.  I passed a swim test to go out without a lifejacket, caught fish, fed the ducks and found this place to be my sanctuary.
