Following Friday’s committee meeting, legislation will be introduced by Councilwoman Sawant at this week’s City Council meeting to propose a 6-month moratorium on any sale of the Halcyon land. Discussion and a vote on the the legislation is tentatively set for the City Council’s next meeting on Monday, January 28th. The intent of the 6-month moratorium would be to allow time to craft and legislate a solution to prevent the displacement of the residents of the Halcyon Mobile Home Park. As members of the Haller Lake community, let’s continue to offer them our support!
